Simone is a Tuscan pizza chef with a decades-long passion for cooking and pizza. He began his career teaching live and online courses, and collaborating with restaurants in Italy. Specializing in the creation of baked goods and panettone, he has shared his knowledge in numerous countries and founded businesses that have opened additional locations. In 2024, he was a judge of the “Belgium pizza contest” and host of the TV program “Pizza Academy”.

Alexandra Fontana

Alessandra is a baker and cook with a passion for sourdough, which began in 2013. She has become a popular figure on TikTok with millions of followers, sharing her bread-making techniques. She achieved a Guinness World Record in 2021 for the longest pizza alla pala. In 2024 she became a technical consultant for a mill and published her first book on Italian artisan bread-making.

Peppe, a Neapolitan with an unshakable love for pizza in all its forms, runs a blog where he recounts his experiences in the pizzerias he has visited around the world. Although he is not a professional pizza chef, his deep cultural connection with pizza clearly emerges in his writing. Through his blog, Peppe promotes the authenticity of true Neapolitan pizza, but also explores interpretations that differ from tradition. With pride and a pinch of irony, he recounts his culinary journey that leads him to discover all the pizza cultures in the countries he has visited, always carrying his beloved Naples in his heart.

Francesca Gandolfo

Born in Sicily and raised in Lombardy, since she was a child, passionate about cooking, she decided to study cooking at the Ipssar hotel school in San Pellegrino. She worked in various kitchens doing the classic apprenticeship. She became passionate about pizza and managed one of the most important businesses in Italy, Alice Pizza, a Roman pizzeria by the slice as the first pizza chef and manager. In 2019 she decided to dedicate herself to training and consulting, training hundreds of professional and non-professional pizza chefs, and starting start-ups in Italy and abroad. She is the only female consultant and communicator in the pizza field, which is why she has also become known on social media.

Salvatore Farina

Salvatore is our jury president, a professional pizza chef and content creator. Founder of “Pizzology” and the “Belgium Pizza School”, he teaches the art of pizza with a deep passion for the science of dough and traditional cuisine. Author of a book on the science of pizza, Salvatore is recognized for his expertise and dissemination in the sector. He manages a large community on social media and offers consultancy in the restaurant sector to optimize the production and management of pizzerias.
